THE PLOT:

The year is 2033, the world is a desilet wasteland where water is more prescous then gold. The water company holds the only known major water supply left on Earth and makes slave labor out of anyone who wants a drink.

The leader of the water company is Kesslee who has a murderous device that drains water out of the human body. One such slave was able to escape Kesslee's dungeon and together with a friend and a tank that she is somehow linked to psyhically. They start a rebellion to free the Earth from tyranny and oppression as Tank Girl and Jet Girl.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

I got to admit that I am not a fan of the British Comic Strip, not being British, I never heard of it before. But the movie has a certain style about it. The characters are well written and likable, the villian has a likable quality. The cast was great and did a great acting job. The creature effects were unique. Now that all the good parts are out of the way, time for the bad parts. The parts that really bugged me about TANK GIRL. One, the little cartoon sequences, this was a rated R movie, what's with the cartoons? Making a realistic science fiction turn childish, I didn't like Lori Petty's hair in this. Not at all. I think the R rating was alittle unjust the sexuality in this movie is the same as a PG-13 romantic drama, nothing was shown and no one had sex. So I don't think it deserved an R rating. I give TANK GIRL....7 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with the flaws on the movie, I don't know what they were smoking when they thought let's have little cartoons inside the movie as filler. Because they should get their money back, big time. That bugged me more then the strange world of 2033, this is the kind of future movie genre that I like to call "GOD I HOPE NOT" future. I give it a lower grade, I give it...5 STARS!

+ STORY (Zedd thought the story worked.)
+ CHARACTERS (All the characters were well written.)
+ CAST (A great cast.)
+ ACTING (Great acting in this movie.)
+ NEVER DULL (It doesn't get dull, lots of big bangs for your bucks.)
+ FUNNY (It's even funny.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- CARTOON (The cartoon breaks in the action was just dumb.)
- LORI PETTY'S HAIR (I really didn't like her hair in this.)

AND FINALLY...

UNJUST R RATING (There was nothing in this movie that deserved a R rating, and I think it's time we got rid of the old farts in charge of the MPAA and get some young blood in to rate this movies right.)
