THE PLOT:

For centuries the small village in China has been terrorized by vampire monsters wearing gold masks. They were dubbed the seven Golden Vampires. Recenly the raids on the village has been more frequent and more organized. A brave man sets out the man who defeated Dracula. Doctor Van Helsing.

Confincing Van Helsing to help, he takes a trek to the tiny village lays in hopes to prove the existence of the seven Golden Vampires and stop their reign of terror once and for all.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

One of the most unique movies I've seen in a long time. A interesting blend of Kung Fu action with Gothic horror frights. The Seven Golden Vampires look cool, the action is practically non-stop. I did miss Christopher Lee in this, but what's perfect. The story was great, Peter Cushing is Van Helsing and nothing will change that. Still, a great movie and a buried treasure. I give it...9 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I do agree with what Zedd wrote, but in my humble opinion there could have been more done. The title is great, the did spend a little too much time on the story about the Golden Vampires and the trip to the village. Plus, They never fully explained why they were gathering all that blood. I too give it...9 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ UNIQUE BLEND (Of martial arts thrills and Hammer screams.)
+ COOL FIGHT SCENES (Very cool fight scenes.)
+ VAMPIRE MAKE-UP (The Golden Vampires are way cool.)
+ PETTER CUSHING (As always he does a great job as Van Helsing Vampire Killer.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- LINGERED (VOLTRON thought they lingered too long on the legend and the trip.)
- WHY? (They never fully explained they they were gathering all that blood?)
- ZOMBIES (The skull looks too much like a mask. Too shiny.)

AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on Marital Arts movies or Vampire horror movies then this isn't for you. If you aren't into both. Then this really isn't the movie for you!)
