and banishes him from the land. His own Father fears him now.
Wondering the world he meets Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez (Try saying that three times fast.) and discovers the truth,
that he is part of a strange race of immortals that can only die through decapitation and someday there will be a Gathering,
a contest to the death and that there can be only one.
It's 1986 and Connor is going by the name Russell Edwin Nash and the Gathering has begun in New York City. The Police
are baffled and The Kurgan (now a punk rocker.) is out to finish what he started so many centuries ago.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Now even though this movie doesn't have any monsters in it at all. You're might be wondering why am I reviewing it. If you
know my past reviews, I like monster movies. But not just monster movies, I like other forms of Science Fiction. HIGHTLANDER
for one is a cool science fiction fantasy. It's strange that there was no mythology built around the Immortals. If it was
I don't remember them mentioning it, Clancy Brown is a fun villian. You can tell he had a blast being evil. In the scene
where he steal this car with an old lady in the passenger side, it was dark humor at it's finest. I give HIGHLANDER...9 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree with Zedd about this. The characters are so well written. Even the villian, the acting is wonderful, Oscars awards
should have been give out. But since this is Science Fiction it was ignored. I think this is a great movie and everyone
should see it. No matter the age. But if you're not big on sword and swordfighting, then this isn't for you. I give it...8
STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (Unique blend of swordplay and science fiction.)
+ CHARACTERS (All the characters are well written and likable.)
+ ACTING (Supurb acting. Oscar calibur if you ask me.)
+ EFFECTS (For 1986, great effects. The head lopping effects is incredible.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- NO MYTH (Maybe I'm not remembering it right, but I don't remember them mentioning any myth of people rising from the grave.
Please, corrct me if I'm wrong and I'll retract it.)
AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you're not a fan of swords of heads flying off of human bodies in epic sword fights, then this is diffently
not the movie for you.)
