But he claims they were captured by giant Leeches, then two more locals disappear in the swamp and a Ranger feels that they're may be something to the story.

The Space Agency's testing with radioactive materials caused mutations to develop in an isolated swamp. Now these creatures are capturing people alive to feed on in an underwater cave. Can they be stopped?

ZEDD'S OPINION:

Attack of the Giant Leeches, written by Tennese Williams, not! But the whole thing with the fat store owner and his sexy wife fooling around with his best friend seems like something Williams would write. Anyway, everyone says that the Leeches look like garbage bags, I disagree. I think the Leeches look like they were more likely made out of scuba diving suit material. I like the design, the fact they arms, but no legs. That seemed relastic to me, for this kind of murtation. Now this movie isn't perfect and not quite a buried treasures, it is flawed. Characters are weak for one. To much obsession with coffee for another. But still a good movie and it deserves...7 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

You people reading this isn't going to believe me, but I agree with Zedd. This is a good movie, not great. But good. Of course history tells us the UN forbad radiation from being used in rocket engines, for fear of fall out if it crash lands on their heads. But that doesn't matter, just think of this movie as a alternate universe where they never happened. Anyway, I agree that this movie is very flawed but considering when it was made, it was a step in the right direction. I give it...6 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ GIANT LEECHES (Contrary to popular belief, We feel they did well with the Giant leeches.)
+ STORY (A little hard to swallow, but basically good)
+ UNDERWATER SHOTS (The under water sets were very impressive, doesn't give you the impression that it's in a tank at all)
+ PRICE (At around eight dollars this movie is a good value.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- CHARACTERS (There was some serious character issues)
- TENNISEE WILLIAMS PLOT (The subplot seems something out of a Tennesse Williams story.)
- COFFE (The characters were too involved with Coffee.)
- HARD TO SWALLOW (NASA never was allowed to use radioactive generators in the Rockets. Plus, even if they were, I would hope they wouldn't be so careless to make monsters twenty miles away.)

AND FINALLY....

- GOOF (If you check out the first picture, I captured a goof. They placed a face mask over the guys face as they dragged him under. It was hard to see, but look carefully, you'll see it)
