THE PLOT:

Astronaughts on the final approtch to earth after a six month trip in space. They arrive to find a cryo capsules have failed and one member of the crew has been long dead.

They arrive on a strange planet where humans act like animals, and the apes are in command. Taylor, the Captain of the ship is captured after being shot in the neck. Unable to speak he must find a way to communticate and prove that he's not from around there.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

A true classic in every sense of the word. A cool plot, a great twist, cast. The story was just perfect. Even though the way they abused him I wonder where the SPCH was, you know the society to provent cruelty to humans. Also, certain camera angels revealed lips inside the make-up. But that's a minor thing and I give the original Planet Of The Apes...9 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd, this is a true classic. I love this movie. The acting, the effects, the innovation in make-up effects. But I think we could have done without seeing Charleston Heston's ass to be perfectly Frank with you. But I give it....9 STARS

+ CAST (The cast did a perfect job, even under all that make-up.)
+ ENVIROMENT (It looked like we were emerged in a world ruled by Apes.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- CINEMATROGPHY (Certain camera angles spoiled the make up illusion)
- HESTION'S ASS (We could have done without seeing Charleston Heston's ass.)

- FAN BASED (If planets ruled by apes isn't your cup of tea, then I wouldn't recommend it.)
