THE PLOT:

Two College students go backpacking through Europe. Sound romantic right? Wrong, for David and Jack, it's no walk in the Park. First they were snubbed at a Scottish Pub and a cryptic warning about staying to the main road and off the moors.

Next after getting lost on the Moors they're attacked by a strange creature, Jack is killed and David is rescued by the pub patrons who felt bad for being rude. But too late for David has been bitten by what Scottland Yard called a maniac.

Soon after David is visted by the ghost of his dead friend Jack who warns David that he will become a werewolf and take lives. But David doesn't believe him and life goes on. David stays with the beautiful nurse that cared for him but as predicted, David transforms into the beast.

Haunted by those he killed can he bring about killing himself and breaking the bloodline or will he kill again?

ZEDD'S OPINION:

A true classic in every sense of the word. Great transformation scene and with a dark sense of humor about it. It makes it a great movie. I would however would have liked to seen more of David in wolf form and that he walked upright, this all four things is what made people call him a big dog. Anyway, that's the way Landis wanted it, wrong as it may be. But it didn't hurt it much and I think it deserves a pat on the back. I give it...8 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd about the flaws of the film. It was nice to see Jenny Agutter of LOGAN'S RUN fame. Big fan, big fan. The sense of humor running through it works. I think what Zedd called it is very, very true. A classic. I also give it...9 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CREATURE EFFECTS (The creature effects were just great.)
+ STORY (Even though it's your typical werewolf story, the cast make it work.)
+ HUMOR (A sense of humor runs through it that makes you laugh as well as jump.)
+ CAST (We both liked the cast of the movie.)
+ OTHER EFFECTS (Like when Jack was almost a total skeleton, that was soooo cool!)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- MORE WEREWOLF (It would have been nice to seen more of the werewolf.)
- WALKING (Zedd would have liked to have seen Jack walk up right instead of all four.)

AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on werewolf movies, then this isn't for you.)
